What is an ERP System?

ERP = Enterprise Resource Planning System

An ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is a software system that integrates and manages various business processes and functions. ERP systems are intended to connect different departments and workflows to ultimately streamline operations and improve decision-making. ERP systems typically include:

Supply Chain Management: Tracks inventory, manages procurement, and optimizes the flow of goods. Manufacturing: Plans and manages production processes, including materials, resources, and quality control. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Manages customer interactions and sales processes

Synergies with other software

Many ERP suites also include capabilities for Asset Management, and/or a computerised maintenance and modification software (CMMS).
