What is CFIHOS? CFIHOS (pronounced "see-fos") is a standard model and definitions for how owner/operators can define the required information to be handed over to ensure efficient and safe operations. CFIHOS defines an aligned approach for both document and data which is also flexible and allow individual companies/facilities to include additional custom elements to the core base specification. This approach is known as "CFIHOS+", and means that each company's use and application of CFIHOS will be different to reflect the unique requirements of the operational needs. The CFIHOS standard is being developed through a cross industry working group where Sharecat is a participating member, under the sponsorship and guidance of IOGP (The International Oil & Gas Producers Association). The overall goal of CFIHOS to provide savings in project delivery and operations through simpler, more consistent and faster handover of information between operators, contractors, equipment manufacturers and suppliers.

The CFIHOS definitions include data required for ERP, CMMS and EAM systems such as SAP, IFS, Maximo and STAR. It also includes much more, as other data is required for other operating systems such as digital twins, control systems and similar.
